Dear lady members
This weekend we held our annual Ladies Club Champs. Saturday seemed to be a struggle for almost everyone except for Robyn Green, who came out of the starting box firing on all cylinders and shot an 86 gross and a 67 nett off a 20 handicap. Robyn playing in the bronze division was leading the Club Champs on the first day, which I think will go down in club history.
Day 2 went a lot better and the golf scores on the board were much improved. Robyn unfortunately didn’t have the golfing Gods with her and Rouchelle Esksteen went on to be our new Club Champion. Well Played and congratulations Rouchelle! Robyn Green won the Bronze Division and Karen Philip defended her title, winning the Copper division for the 2nd year in a row.
The Senior Nett Trophy donated by Niki Christie was introduced 4 years ago to encourage ladies over the age of 60 to participate in club champs and play for a trophy This was won by Sue Marsden. Well done Sue!
I would like to thank all the ladies who participated, I think we are all winners. A very special thanks must go to Robyn Mackenzie for embroidering our initials onto the golf towels, it really was a special touch.

GILL’S LEAGUE CORNER
On the 27th March both Sunday teams played their respective league games.
Lynette's team played at home against RJ&K at home and won 4-2. Well done team! may it be the start of good things.
My team played at Wanderers and continued on their winning ways and won 6-0 Long may it last!
The Silver team captained by Mariana Meyer recorded their first win 4-2 playing at home against Heidelberg. Hope this is the start of good things to come.
Unfortunately, the bronze team took a dip losing to Bryanston at Bryanston, Margaret and Michele the only 2 managing to salvage a point

AGM – 25TH APRIL
The lady’s AGM will start at 6pm sharp. Please can you diarise, it would be great to have a good turnout.
I have attached proxy forms for those ladies who cannot stay for the main club AGM at 8pm. Please I need to have them back by Thursday the 18th of April. Please take careful note of the 2 Resolutions that will be voted on.
As this is my last newsletter, I wish to take the opportunity thank all the ladies for their support during my captaincy. I can honestly say I have enjoyed every moment and have certainly grown as a person and learnt so much about golf, different personalities and so much more during my 10 years as a committee member. I will certainly miss it.
I wish Gill Cresswell and her incoming committee all the very best in the future and look forward to just playing golf.
