FROM THE CHAIRMAN (Seniors Group)

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend our senior’s Christmas Lunch this year. From the pictures I’ve seen
and feedback I’ve received, it was a tremendous success. Congratulations to all the winners this year.

COVID
Just when we thought that we might have beaten Covid into submission, this new Omicron variant
reared its’ ugly head. From the reports, it is every bit as transmissible as previous variants, if not more
so. With that in mind, please continue to follow the recommended protocols, wear your mask, maintain
social distancing, wash your hands, and if possible be even more cautious.

RUIMSIG GOLF COURSE

The course just keeps looking better and better, the fairways are lush and green, but then so is the rough. The rains have meant that the greens are much softer and more receptive to shots pitching on them. I would like to appeal to all seniors to repair their pitch marks. I know there are some seniors who will comment that they never pitch on the greens anyway. Maybe not but help out and please repair any pitch marks that you do find.

YEAR END & FESTIVE SEASON

With the year ending, I would like to thank all of the members of the senior’s committee for all of the efforts they have put in during the year to make the seniors group a success. I have to say a special word of thanks to Eddie for his contribution, for the weekly time slots being filled in, to the results, prizes, and the work put into maintaining the finances, THANK YOU.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our seniors well over the festive season. If you are travelling, please take care as there are many idiots on the road and we would like to see you all back next year.
